I never feel like I have anything to say when it comes to updating my journal. Perhaps this is why so many people don't bother to start one, so they never have to look at the months go by without any kind of an update.

I'm trying to feature at least a little bit of other peoples art in every journal entry, something that pertains to whatever I might be talking about. Things have been going pretty good lately. I got a new camera awhile ago (a Canon 50D) and I have been spending a bit of time just getting used to working it. The newest deviations I have posted were taken with that camera.

Speaking of my new camera.. I am looking for a Canon 50D stamp to put here in my journal. If you have seen one, cause I might be looking over it, or you are willing to create one for me [ :0) ] please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it!

I'm really excited for this weekend. I get to spend both Saturday and Sunday celebrating my birthday with both sides of my family! I'm really looking forward to it, not just cause it's my birthday, but because I like getting to spend time with family. It should be fun. On Monday Andy and I will be in Disneyland for my actual birthday, LoL. I'm taking my camera and plan on spending a little bit of time taking some artistic images while there... we'll see if I actually do that, haha.

I am so proud to announce the official launch of my new website, Phoenix-Imagery. I, along with my husband Andy and our friend Mike, have been working really hard to get the site ready for today. I cannot believe it has been since March without anything.. oh well.

School has been keeping me pretty busy, especially being a condensed Summer semester, as well as all the plans we have had. I had a girls weekend 2 weeks ago, last week was the holiday, this week I am photographing a wedding and next week we are going camping. I am really looking forward to having some time to dedicate to art projects that I have up my sleeve.

So, I have also experienced two issues with my computer crashing, luckily we were able to recover everything and back what I didn't already have backed up. It has taught me a lesson though and everytime my memory card goes into my computer I save it all onto a cd.. I don't want to lose anything..

I'm hoping to get a new lens soon. I have been interested in doing some Macro work and I have been looking into the lenses Canon offers for that. They are pretty pricey though so I'll have to think about it but it sounds like fun.

It's fair time again. I already have my entry for submitted now I just have to get my images printed out and dry mounted. I'm only doing three this year, unlike the eight I did last year. This also means it's concert time! I'm almost possitive I am photographing the Poison show although I might just want to hang out with my friends at side stage. I haven't decided yet. Also performing this year are Gary Allen with Diamond Rio as well as Wierd Al!! I am super excited about that one, haha.

So, now that I am done with the computer crash issues I hope to have an update for J.Lynn Photo really soon including getting my art section up and running. That too has not been updated since April and I hope to change that soon.

Not that there is really a whole lot to say.. I just haven't update in a really long time it was getting kind of sad.

Nothing very much has changes lately. I have a new website mostly used for my musician photography but it will also have a section were I show my art. If you would like to go see it go to jlynnphoto.com and take a look, also sign my guestbook and let me know what you think.

I have a few new art pieces as well as some old ones that I hope to post soon. I have been working so hard on getting all my band shots together for the website I haven't really had the will to work on my art pieces. I can only stare at my computer screen for so long before I am bound to go insane.. Either way, I hope to get some stuff up soon.
